Your hosting package from PWP1.net uses two state-of-the-art UK data centre facilities. Both have fantastic worldwide connectivity via the London Internet Exchange among others and are manned 24/7 with skilled personnel. This is a disaster proof system.
The two sites also have a gigabit fibre between them so that if any one link fails data is automatically routed to the other one.
Within the datacentres there is no single point of failure up until the connection reaches the server which hosts your website. Equipment such as routers, switches and firewalls are doubled up in a mirrored configuration with real-time monitoring between the two sets.
As well as short-term Uninterruptible Power Systems (UPS) systems there are multiple diesel generators at both sites, with a minimum of 96 hours fuel on-site, giving you total protection from power failures.
Your hosting package from pwp1.net sits on high-quality hardware. To minimise the risk of failure hot-standby equipment is kept on-site so that even if a catastrophic failure were experienced the disks could be swapped into a new, identical chassis.
There is 24/7 on-site security with 24/7 internal CC-TV monitoring. In addition there are comprehensive security procedures including proximity access control.
All critical systems, such as UPSs, generators and backup network links are tested on a regular basis to ensure that they are ready in the event of a real failure.
